The Role of the Consortium: To Provide School Improvement Services on Behalf of Local Authorities The Central South Consortium is commissioned by, and acts on behalf of, the five local authorities to provide a school improvement service that challenges and supports schools in their work to raise standards and enables the local authorities to deliver their statutory responsibilities.
