The mission of Research Centre Řež (www.cvrez.cz) is to excel in research, development and innovations for power generation industry, in particular the nuclear power generation. The knowledge-based organization with more than 75 % of employees possessing a university education, operates two research reactors and other cutting edge technologies. Both the research infrastructure and research teams was significantly expanded by the SUSEN (Sustainable Energy) project. By another infrastructure project, building of the hot cells for and the future use of the Jules Horowitz Reactor in France, the CVŘ is a part of important international community. The company is a 100% subsidiary of ÚJV Řež, a. s. since 2002. It is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) and the SNE-TP platform.
