Centurion University of Technology and Management

As a multidisciplinary private/state university, Centurion University of Technology and Management took its first step when Jagannath Institute for Technology & Management was founded at Paralakhemundi in the year 1997. 13 years and addition of another campus at Bhubaneswar later, it attained university status with the passage of Centurion University of Technology and Management, Orissa Act of 2010 by the Orissa Legislative Assembly. Currently, the university has two constituent campuses at Paralakhemundi and Jatni, near Bhubaneswar. The university has been accredited with 'A'​ Grade by NAAC. It strongly believes in its motto of “Shaping Lives, Empowering Communities!” and to achieve the same, gives emphasis on the Mission, Vision, Values and Quality Policy. The crux of its activities revolve around providing quality, globally accredited academic programs in technology and management and employability training for the less endowed segments of the population, promotion of entrepreneurial culture and enterprise in the target areas. Most importantly, the fundamental principles of the university are to ensure equality & equity among all stakeholders. Centurion's efforts in providing Quality Education, contribution to skill development of rural students and focus on community empowerment has been noted by the United Nations too. Centurion University is the only university, to be specifically mentioned in the report on, “The Right to Education: Promotion and protection of human rights: human rights questions, including alternative approaches for improving the effective enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms” - presented to the UN General Assembly by the Secretary General on 30 October 2012.
