china southern west australian flying college pty ltd

China Southern West Australian Flying College Pty Ltd (CSWAFC) started operations in 1993 and continued its growth with the increasing demand for pilots in China. In 2012, CAE partnered with China Southern Airlines in a joint venture agreement to continue providing highly trained pilots to Chinas biggest airline, China Southern Airlines. CSWAFC takes pride in the very high standards of flight training it has achieved, exceeding the rigorous levels set by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia. The college specialises in initial flight training right through to multi-engine instrument-rating. Our unique mix of the best training aircraft, expert instructors and excellent facilities allows us to graduate around 120 pilots every year. These pilots then return to China Southern Airlines, the largest airline in China as First Officers. The training program is authorized by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). CSWAFC operates from two training bases Jandakot Airport and Merredin Airport. Our facilities have the capacity for 304 cadets and include 37 single-engine and 5 twin-engine aircraft. We also have flight simulation training devices, lecture theatres and living accommodation. All graduates of CSWAFC proceed to gain aircraft type ratings at the Zhuhai Flight Training Centre in Guangdong province, China.
