City Catering Southampton (CCS) is proud to be the UK’s first charitable catering company. We are all about improving people’s lives through the promotion of wholesome, nutritious food. We believe that great quality food, served with kindness and care, is a right, not a privilege: everyone deserves the best possible nourishment. Therefore we exist to make a tangible nutritional difference in people’s lives. We are skilled in delivering delicious meals for the city’s vulnerable adults and school-age children – meals that support their well being, their growth and development, and therefore their ability to truly thrive. We have an outstanding track record, and are proudly accredited by Food For Life for our school meals - for our overall foodservice operation (our outgoing CEO was awarded Hospitality Assured Champion for 2016/2017 at the National Awards for Excellence). Our ‘why’ is to help support Southampton’s health and well-being, through the services we provide and the profits that we generate. Our business model is unique in the industry, where members of the charity own the company - giving them unprecedented influence and control over the services they receive and depend upon. The organisation currently serves 47 schools and nurseries across the city, providing nutritious Food-For-Life accredited meals to Southampton’s children throughout the academic year. In addition, we deliver care meals to individual homes and lunch clubs, all year round. The company’s Hospitality Assured business- and celebration-catering operation is growing, too, and building an exceptional reputation for quality and service.
