We believe that all youth regardless of circumstance deserve the opportunity to succeed. Research indicates that vulnerable children often experience challenges that place them at risk of low educational, social, economic and health outcomes. To address this need, CCSC was enacted in 2008 to address the burgeoning school to prison pipeline by facilitating interagency partnerships across multiple systems. We leverage and coordinate positive youth resources to include mental health services, intensive individual and group mentoring, life skills, tutoring and job readiness training in order to promote healthy behaviors, positive youth development and healthy adaptive skills. Our program has proven successful and has gained national recognition in delivering innovative, evidence-based programs to at-risk students.
