The awards acknowledge digital and print examples of work that combines excellence in design, communication principles and plain language. Everyone benefits: Finding the right information is easy [because of good design] It can be understood on the first reading [clear language] And because of this, people are more likely to be able to use the information to take action or solve their own problems. The awards were established by three Melbourne professionals with a keen interest in promoting and advocating for clear communication in Australia: Carolyn Alexander, Joh Kirby and Carol Mackay.
