CLP India is a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP), with a diversified portfolio of over 3000 MW, covering renewable energy, supercritical coal and gas fired power plants. It is owned by CLP Group, one of the leading investor-owned power businesses in Asia, and Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec (CDPQ), one of Canada's leading institutional fund managers. With a total committed investment of INR 15,000 crores, CLP India is one of the largest foreign investors in the Indian power sector. CLP India owns and operates a 1,320 MW (2 X 660MW) supercritical coal-fired power plant in Jhajjar, Haryana, which is one of India's first supercritical coal-fired power plants. CLP India has also been operating a 655 MW Combined-Cycle Power Plant (PCCPP) in Paguthan, near Bharuch, Gujarat since 2002. At 924 MW, generated across 12 plants in six states, wind energy is an integral part of CLP India. Spanning three plants in two states, CLP India's solar generation portfolio stands at 170 MW.
