Our primary desire is to create basic, thoughtful garments for Sighthounds. Jemma Thomas founded COAT from the need for a practical, insulated garment for her whippet, Stevie. She started designing with three things in mind; each garment must be functional, understated, and have a long lifespan. From this, a simple model was created, consisting of one hero design, three classic tones, and one new colour released every season. Made from premium, ethically sourced Merino wool, each garment has been designed to move and breathe on the body. Providing essential warmth and flexibility. The COAT philosophy centres on high-quality design & construction with a commitment to keeping it local. Designed and handmade in Melbourne.
