Collective is a leading research and design studio, specialised in the delivery of urban strategies. The studio initiates new perspectives for the built environment by defining, designing and guiding spatial transformation. Collective is passionate about effectively unlocking complex urban territories by introducing joined up thinking and responsive urban design instruments. The studio’s overall ambition is to develop urban strategies which will inspire people to share more time together and reconnect communities with their natural and built environment. Collective embraces opportunities to re-imagine urban life by offering moments of interaction at multiple scales. At present studio collective is actively involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of distinctive Custom and Self-Build communities within United Kingdom. This includes the following projects; The Paper Mill, Birmingham, Orchard Farm, Kennington, Brick Fields, Burgess Hill and Clippers Quay, London. Collective was founded in 2018 by urban designer Honoré van Rijswijk. A team of talented urban experts contribute to a collaborative design approach, for instance with expertise in the field of: real estate; transport; academia; photography; marketing and branding; architecture; and landscape design. The studio works in partnership across public and private sectors, charities and with local communities. Collective values a collaborative relationship with their clients to create delightful and thriving places.
