ABOUT US: The Community Broadcasting Foundation is an independent non-profit funding agency that seeks, secures and distributes funding to support the development, creativity and sustainability of community broadcasting in Australia. We have given away more than $200 million since our establishment in 1984, to secure the future of grass roots, local media. Community broadcasting involves participation in non-profit media which is committed to access, diversity, independence, localism, multiculturalism, and social justice. Our vision: community broadcasting is a thriving independent media sector for all Australian communities. This reflects the 20,000+ volunteers Australia-wide that help make community radio and TV possible for the more than five million listeners each week.
