compositence gmbh

The initial idea for Compositence technology resulted from the lack of process technologies to apply fibers according to component specific load-paths. Starting in 2009, Compositence has been successfully developing a unique preforming technology with relevant software. Already in 2011, Compositence achieved first layup trials and started working for the first automotive OEM. In 2013 the first plant was sold to an Asian customer and Compositence was honoured with the Innovation Award Baden-Wuerttemberg. A cooperation with BMW began in 2014 on high volumes and cost- effective processes and strengthened our understanding for industry customer needs. Today, we are able to process all automotive relevant raw materials, starting from technical and commercial simulation up to series production to our customers. This unique competence results on the one hand from our deep experience with all kind of fibers and our knowledge how to apply these fibers in a fast and economical way. On the other hand, we have profound understanding of the individual component demands and support our customers in designing their very tailor-made fiber architecture. Both to the benefit of our most valued customers. Compositence technology is at the very beginning of its capabilities. Additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, decentralized manufacturing, 3D fiber printing are just some of the top themes of these days. Compositence is able to make its contribution to all of them. Significantly reducing costs on the end product requires a close partnership with key players along the whole value chain. That is why Compositence has teamed up with industry partners and well- known universities in composites business. The future of composites has just begun.
