Connected by Data

We think decisions about data – what is collected, how it is used, who it is shared with – should be made collectively and openly. So we work to put community at the centre of data narratives, practices and policies. We want to change how people talk about data, in particular challenging the language of individual data ownership. We want to help organisations use participatory approaches to make decisions about data. And we want to change how data is regulated to include societal and environmental interests as well as privacy rights.
