Magnetic Systems - Refrigeration Cooltech Applications is the first company worldwide to offer an industrialised magnetic heat pump solution for either the refrigeration or heating industries. This groundbreaking technology, based on the magnetocaloric effect operates without compressors (no refrigerant gas) and allows energy savings of up to 50% (when integrated into a refrigerating euipment). Quiet & efficient, the device allows energy to be circulated in a water based liquid from one heat-exchanger to another via 'Metallic Refrigerants' (of several specific magnetocaloric alloys), with a fixed temperature difference between them. Production has been made possible via 20M of French Government 'Industrial Launch Aid' to both Cooltech & its Tier 1 suppliers - typically ISO qualified and highly regarded in their respected industries, and additional recognized investors for one or more decades. Cooltech Applications product is the result of more than 300 patents,10 year R&D with the last three years oriented towards product industrialization to achieve & maintain production quality and reliability. The launch devices will be previewed for the commercial refrigeration market (supermarkets, restaurants, catering), and additional bigger cooling units ( up to 110 KW) are under development for complementary applications.
