Corbett and Tasker Structural Engineering

Corbett and Tasker is a structural engineering practice based in Yorkshire and London. It was founded in 2013 by David Tasker and Peter Corbett to focus on high quality projects both in the UK and abroad, where the skills and imagination of our engineers deliver efficient design solutions in a timely manner, working collaboratively with other team members, frequently in a 3D BIM environment. Our engineers have extensive experience of large residential projects, from multi storey, urban structures in both concrete and steel framing, to smaller ‘PassivHaus’ projects where sustainability criteria provide the primary design drivers. Many of these housing projects have been engineered with advanced timber products including Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). We use traditional ‘tried and tested’ techniques where these are appropriate and offer best value but we are always enthusiastic to explore more innovative solutions for specific situations as they arise. In all our projects, we seek to maintain the very highest standards of engineering, working closely with all members of the design team, to ensure our clients derive maximum value from the structural engineering. We achieve this through consistent focus throughout the building process, from early key conceptual decisions to the design and detailing of the structural components and finally to its smooth and successful implementation on site.
