Country Universities Centre is a NSW Government funded project aimed at increasing higher educational opportunities for regional and remote students remaining in their communities so that they can be supported to successfully study while continuing to participate in local work, and remain with family and friends. The model is based off the highly successful model in Cooma NSW, which has registered over 190 students, and has seen a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees being studied across a diverse range of disciplines and universities. 2018 will bring the opening of two further regional study hubs: CUC Goulburn and CUC Far West (Broken Hill), which is just the beginning for Country Universities Centre.
