Dakar Academy Schools—two campuses with one mission: meet the educational needs of families in West Africa. Through differentiated instruction and teaching techniques, qualified teachers at both of our campuses are dedicated to providing an environment of student-centered learning utilizing a vertically-aligned American curriculum. We offer an international education that is unquestionably Christian and uncompromisingly academic, with a focus on students’ emotional, physical, academic, and spiritual growth. DA’s flagship campus was established in 1961 as the first international and Christian school in Dakar. Today it is a college-preparatory, boarding and day school for grades Pre-K through 12, situated on a six-acre campus in Hann Maristes. DA’s newest campus in Mamelles offers the only fully American Elementary program in West Dakar, with English instruction & a strong French program, an English Language Learner (ELL) Program, and educational resources such as access to the DA library—the largest English language collection in francophone West Africa.
