Dallas Center for Photography is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to give photography a place to call home in the thriving arts scene of North Texas. DCP welcomes all creators and appreciators of the art to take a class, become a member, see an exhibition or attend one of its many events. We live by our mission statement: “Dallas Center for Photography encourages creativity and experimentation at all skill levels. We believe in the power of photography to fuel personal growth and connect our community through education, events and exhibitions. This year we celebrate 10 years of offering a full range of classes and workshops, encouraging creativity and experimentation at all skill levels. From basic camera operation to immersive, multi-day workshops with nationally recognized photographers, we have taught over 4,000 unique clients how to create better photos and how to make photography a more satisfying and creative part of their lives. We also host a number of photography based community events including movie nights, photo swap meets and a speaker series throughout the year. In 2019, DCP opened the only non-commercial nonprofit photographic art gallery in North Texas. This space will give photographers of all levels a chance to share their images with the community. It will also foster an appreciation for photography as an art and storytelling medium among a broader audience, making real the power of photography. We have workshops for all level of photographers: -Full-day beginner and intermediate workshops -Evening beginner classes -Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop -Studio and location lighting -Portfolio reviews -Multi-day specialty workshops -Travel and night photography -Smartphone photography -Black and white darkroom and alt process -Private tutoring and custom classes
