Digital Entrepreneurship Hub

Digitalization leads to a wider availability and use of digital technologies in our society. It goes hand-in-hand with more people, being able to utilize and develop digital systems. Digital entrepreneurs perceive opportunities because of their abilities and technological competences early and have the capacity to create novel solutions in larger solution spaces. Their entrepreneurial mindset enables the innovation products, processes, and business models. The Digital Entrepreneurship Hub (DEH) addresses the social and scientific challenges of digitaliziaton at the department information systems at Freie Universität Berlin. To this end, the DEH provides a unique, interdisciplinary platform for entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship research. The central goal is the development and permanent realization of a systematic support process for entrepreneurial projects for the entire FU Berlin (a "Launchpad for Entrepreneurs"​). We at DEH are the central point of reference for entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship research at FU Berlin We at DEH support interdisciplinary activities for transferring research into market We at DEH develop a systematic support process (sensitizing and qualifying) for various target groups along "learning paths"​ We at DEH span the boundary between the FU Berlin and start-up ecosystems in Berlin, the EU, and the rest of the world We at DEH closely collaborate with other stakeholders from the startup ecosystem (including new ventures, corporates & other multiplicators)
