The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board (DNSSAB) works towards its vision of Healthy Communities Without Poverty, by providing services in the areas of employment and financial support; and through the administration of quality childcare and early learning through licensed centers, social housing and the prevention of homelessness, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Land Ambulance. The jurisdiction of the DNSSAB covers 17,000 square kilometers and includes 11 municipalities, two First Nations, and two unorganized areas Nipissing North and Nipissing South. It serves about 85,000 people through three office locations -- the main office in North Bay and satellite offices in West Nipissing and Mattawa.
