Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria

In 2021, Domestic Violence Victoria (DV Vic) and the Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria (DVRCV) are merging to become a new entity. You can find the stand-alone DVRCV page and DV Vic page. This merger will bring the peak body for Victoria’s specialist family violence services supporting victim survivors (DV Vic) together with the state’s only specialist family violence Registered Training Organisation (DVRCV); combining our strength, capacity and resources for greater impact. Both organisations enter this merger with the bigger picture in clear sight: driving the social and cultural change required to end all forms of family violence and violence against women and demand new ways of working and integrated resourcing across the sector. Under a new name and united purpose we will extend our reach and engagement with members and stakeholders alike, and will build the capability of current and emerging workforces to prevent and respond to family violence. For now, you’ll see us referred to as DV Vic and DVRCV, and we will keep you updated with the merge and our rebrand over the coming months. There are specialist family violence services available across Victoria to help people experiencing family violence and their family and friends.
