As a relief organization in civil and disaster relief with aiding and abetting, the German Red Cross is also committed as a recognized umbrella organization of the free welfare in politics and society for beneficial and humane living conditions. Due to our self-image and our principles, we offer a variety of relief measures as effectively and efficiently as possible for those in need. In doing so, we make sure that we always adapt our aid measures and offers within Germany to the social and societal requirements. The concept of help for self-help is a central part of our work. We want to promote self-reliance and responsibility with our current strategy "Helping People, Creating Society" - we focus on people, their rights and their needs. In this way, we want to strengthen people individually in their diverse life situations. In addition to our welfare services, which include offers and services for disabled and poor people as well as for children, adolescents, families and seniors, the national aid society with its offers is also part of our commitment in Germany.
