Eagle Lake Nurseries Ltd. was incorporated in 1970 by Tony and Anne Heuver. Today their daughter Anita Heuver has continued the family tradition and is a partner in the company. The nursery has 500 acres of field grown caliper trees and shrubs, 30 acres of container grown shrubs and pot-in-pot trees, 300 acres in crop rotation and greenhouses for propagation and perennial production. Eagle Lake Nurseries main market area is Calgary and area, but we also ship throughout Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan, as well as Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Alaska. The nursery has 20 year round employees, and up to 65 seasonal employees. At Eagle Lake Nurseries one of our goals is to stay abreast of the advancements in our industry. We take an active role in trade associations both in Canada and the United States. We regularly attend trade shows, conventions and management workshops, continually exchanging information and ideas with others in our industry. Eagle Lake Nurseries strives to keep up to date with the ever changing trends of area gardeners, landscapers and architects. We stay abreast of market trends, new plant selections and improved production methods.
