With a membership of nearly 200 school systems nationwide, EdLeader21 is a professional learning community of district leaders dedicated to the design and implementation of 21st century learning experiences that ensure all students master the 4Cs (critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity). EdLeader21 provides its members with customizable tools and resources, access to industry thought leaders, and the opportunity to work with like-minded education leaders from across the country. In October 2017, EdLeader21 became a national network of Battelle for Kids. Through the merger, EdLeader21 and its professional learning community are working with Battelle for Kids to expand and increase the overall impact of the network across the country. EdLeader21 member districts also have the benefit of strategic counsel and deeper implementation support in various areas from Battelle for Kids to advance 21st century education systems. EdLeader21 and Battelle for Kids are driven by a shared goal that: By 2021, 21 percent of school systems across the United States are engaging with their communities to develop and implement a Portrait of a Graduate. This establishes a common vision of what all students need to become lifelong learners and contributors in the 21st century.
