Elutec

Elutec is an exciting school for students interested in engineering, design, science, maths and technology. It is one of a new breed of school in the UK focused on delivering high quality STEM education alongside more traditional academic subjects. Academy's aim is to inspire young people in east London and Essex to become the next generation of talented engineers, scientists and designers through a really positive education experience which equips them with the skills, knowledge and personal qualities they need to have a successful career in industry. At Elutec the curriculum and learning techniques allow students to combine theory with practical activities: putting learning into practice in our purpose-built, state-of-the-art facilities. Elutec hours are more like business hours than other schools and colleges, with the curriculum encouraging a structured and effective use of time. Elutec is sponsored by UCL, Ford, CEME and Procat and has partnerships with a range of industries which help to shape and deliver the curriculum. Graduates of Elutec stand head and shoulders above others of their age because they leave having received a great education academically, technically and also in terms of the employ-ability skills they will have developed due to the close links with industry. We provide industry with employees who have the skills they need, the skills that are currently lacking in the UK workforce.
