ÇEMTAŞ has been established on 27.01.1970 on a land of 101.000 m2 in the Bursa Organized Industrial Zone by the merge of industrialists, businessmen, small craftsmen and public entrepreneurs of Bursa City. Çemtaş is a private company, 57% of which is belonged by BURSA CEMENT FACTORY and 43% is publicly held in Istanbul Stock Exchange Market since 1995. As an "Electric Arc Furnace based Special Steel Producer"​ Çemtaş is leading market by producing special steel as customer - driven, compliant with the norms EN,DIN, AISI, SAE, ASTM and special specifications with 180.000 tons/year melt shop, 220.000 tons/year rolling mill capacity. ÇEMTAŞ can produce more than 300 different steel qualities in different steel groups such as structural steels, carbon steels, bolt steels, case hardening steels, tempered steels, heat treating steels, cold work tool steels, boron steels, micro-alloyed steels, free cutting steels, stainless steels and spring steels. In addition to suppliying special steel products to various customers and industries like; automotive parts and components manufacturers, machinery industry, defence industry, since 2011 ÇEMTAŞ has been supplying stabilizer bars directly to the production lines of many OEM companies such as DAIMLER as TIER-1 Supplier.
