Since 1964, Envision-Creative Support for People with Developmental Disabilities has worked to enhance the quality of life for an integral part of our community – Weld County’s children and adults with developmental disabilities and delays. Envision is the designated community centered board serving Weld County, one of twenty such entities in the State of Colorado. Envision was incorporated as the Weld County Community Center Foundation in 1964 and in April 1986 began doing business as Centennial Developmental Services Inc. The name was changed to Envision, Creative Support for People with Developmental Disabilities, in 2004. Envision is one of the largest human services organizations in Northern Colorado. Throughout its 46-year existence, Envision services have evolved as the needs of the community were identified. Today, our services currently affect the lives of over 1,000 Weld County residents and their families each year. Whether provided directly or through contractual arrangements with affiliated organizations and other community resources, the agency strives to meet the needs of the total person, regardless of age or disability. MISSION: Envision—Creative Support for People with Developmental Disabilities’ mission is to enhance the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities in Weld County. VISION: Envision will be recognized as a passionate and collaborative agent of change, promoting understanding, awareness and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities. We are committed to sustainable and innovative programs and practices to make a positive difference in the lives of all people in our community.
