Era sailors are now among the most successful ones in Turkey, and they form an important part of the Turkish National Sailing team. The greatest organization of Era Bodrum Sailing Club is The Bodrum Cup International Wooden Yacht Regatta. The Bodrum Cup, first organized in 1989, and continued until today, starts on 3rd Sunday of every October. Every year more than 100 yachts take part in this race and it is of the major sport events in Turkey.
