Essilor Vision Foundation is a public charity that empowers children to reach their full potential by giving them the ability to see clearly. The Issue Good vision is crucial for learning, yet 1 in 4 children have a vision problem that affects their ability to learn. The number of children with vision problems climbs even higher in lower-income children. In the U.S. alone, there are millions of children who cannot see the world clearly. It is important to note that vision impacts every aspect of a child’s life from learning, confidence, social interactions and particpiating in activities such as sports, art, or music. With this in mind, Essilor Vision Foundation focuses on providing children with a better life through better sight through multiple intiatives: - Providing exams and glasses to schools with our mobile vision clinics - Organizing community intiatives - Supporting local service organizations Who We Are: Essilor Vision Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public, non-profit organization, based in Dallas, Texas, committed to eliminating poor vision and it’s lifelong consequences.
