Regional Law no. 26 / 2014 and the amendments to the law n.40 / 2005 "Discipline of the regional health service" established that the three authorities for technical administrative services of wide area (Estav Centro, Estav sud est, Estav Nord-Ovest) will be replaced by a unique agency called Estar - Ente di supporto tecnico amministrativo regionale (Regional Technical Administrative Support Authority). ESTAR is a public agency in charge of centralised procurement, warehouse and logistics, health technology and ICT support, personnel recruitment for all the Tuscany Regional Health System public authorities.
