European Lifestyle Medicine Council (ELMC)

The European Lifestyle Medicine Council (ELMC) is a coalition of like-minded, non-profit, European country-based Lifestyle Medicine societies which promote evidence-informed approaches to prevention, management and even reversal of non-communicable diseases. The ELMC promotes Advocacy, Education and Research into the field of Lifestyle Medicine by providing support and a networking platform for properly constituted National Lifestyle Medicine Organisations. Our vision is of a Europe with the best possible health outcomes for its diverse citizens. Our mission is through advocacy, networking, and capacity-building to: - increase awareness of lifestyle medicine among health care professionals and general public - assist to start and mentor country based Lifestyle Medicine organizations - create and nurture co-operation between other organizations concerned about non-communicable disease prevention and reversal - contribute to elaboration and implementation of standards for Lifestyle Medicine interventions into clinical practice - support co-operation between universities developing solid Lifestyle Medicine education curriculums and research centers. - influence European policy makers in favour of a healthy lifestyle promotion ELMC Trustees: Dr. Rob Lawson (President) Dr. Luigi Maselli (Vice-President) Dr. Alicja Baska (Board Member, Director of Communications) Dr. Egle Mineviciene (Board Member)
