We have a passion for enabling golf enthusiasts to enjoy the historic links of the British Isles and beyond, walking in the footsteps of the greats of the game where the sport first evolved over 600 years ago. Many companies claim that their business is in their DNA, but few mean it as literally as EverGo. Our family forebears have been travelling and golfing for over 200 years, having a hand or more in founding clubs all over the world, including Scotland (Scotscraig GC, 1818, and the Union Club, St Andrews, 1835, which later merged with the Royal & Ancient Golf Club), India (Royal Calcutta GC, 1829, and others), Australia (Royal Melbourne, 1891, and Elanora CC, 1928) and Japan. We cant think of a better mission than to share that pioneer golfing spirit with you by enabling you to enjoy the wealth of iconic golf and sporting history in Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and elsewhere. Founding Golf Expert, Edward Playfair, first cut his teeth organizing golf trips as Secretary (manager) of the St Andrews University Golf Club in 1994-5, when the worlds oldest university golf club toured both the eastern United States and Ireland. Since then he has arranged and led a number of highly successful tours of leading Scottish golf courses for US-based golfers. Raised in the United Kingdom in a family with deep roots in St Andrews, he has in-depth knowledge of traditional British links courses from playing them extensively for over 30 years and as a recognized golf historian. He is a former appraiser and auctioneer of golfing antiques and memorabilia for Sothebys and a former consultant, golf historian to Coca Colas sponsorship of The Masters. Founding principal, Carrie Playfair, is a veteran of the travel and hospitality industry and has gained widespread travel experience through two extended global circumnavigations visiting dozens of countries. Born and raised in the United States, she lived in the United Kingdom for ten years, gaining unrivalled experience of the country from an American perspective and organizing many trips for US visitors. Carrie has been guiding tourists around St Andrews and other prime golfing locations for 20 years. Founding principal, Leigh Rogers, holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and is the critical cog who keeps the entire business running efficiently and ensuring your trip goes smoothly. On the basis of if-you-cant-beat-them-join-them, she threw her hat into the EverGo ring after her husband, Chris, came home raving from not one, but two trips of a lifetime to Scotland with our Golf Expert, Edward Playfair.
