Fitzsimons Doyle & Associates has completed over 3000 projects since the firm was founded in 1979 ranging from very small renovation/refurbishment works to projects in excess of 80m construction cost. In this regard we have worked as Consulting Structural Engineers as part of a traditional design team, as project leaders/managers and within large institutions as part of these Institutions in-house design /building offices. An example of this close co-operation would be in Trinity College Dublin and St James Street Hospital where Fitzsimons Doyle & Associates have been working with the Buildings Office in both establishments for over twenty years. Establishing good communications and developing a complete understanding of the clients needs have achieved this As part of a Design Team it is our belief that to be effective all disciplines should be active from the outset of the project. We will actively contribute to the architectural design concept and indeed the other disciplines where we can, and we will constantly review our own work to ensure cost effective solutions are arrived at. Requests for information and or clarification of issues from the design team and the contractor will be dealt with promptly.
