Ferrosan Medical Devices provides a range of innovative medical devices. Our focus is centered on haemostasis during surgery, regional anaesthesia and biopsy. Ferrosan Medical Devices consists of two entities: Biomaterials & Electromechanics. Biomaterials develops and manufactures advanced topical haemostatic products to control bleeding in surgery. The products are marketed in more than 100 countries around the globe via Ethicon Biosurgery, a Johnson & Johnson Company and Elanco Animal Health. Electromechanics develops and manufactures innovative devices for regional anaesthesia and advanced biopsy products. The regional anaesthesia product, Certa Catheter™, is distributed by multiple distributors. The biopsy business is developed in close collaboration with a global partner. Ferrosan Medical Devices employs over 220 employees and the company has headquarter in Soeborg outside of Copenhagen in Denmark and has a facility in Szczecin, Poland.
