Festina Lente

Festina Lente is a non-profit charity which provides a range of training, occupational, learning and employment opportunities for people whose needs are not being met in mainstream services as well as offering services to the mainstream public as well. To achieve this we enter the wonderful worlds of horses and horticulture. Festina Lente Equestrian Centre offers equine centered activities to people of all ages, backgrounds, learning abilities and interests in a supportive, nurturing and fun manner. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider Festina Lente Equestrian Centre has something for everybody! Our AIRE & BHS Approved Equestrian Centre provides an integrated working and learning environment to hundreds of people every year. It has developed a strong reputation for excellence in high level coaching as well as inclusion of children and persons with special needs through therapeutic riding and learning programmes and a place to have fun! The Festina Lente Foundation Walled Victorian Gardens have been loving restored by us to their original Victorian design and plans surrounded by the original walls built in the 1780s. It is one of the largest working Victorian Walled Garden in Ireland and contains many beautiful features and stunning fauna and flora and it is open to the public all year round for visits and tours. We also have a Garden Centre, Shop, Outdoor Café, Fairy Wishing Tree and Wonder Paws Dog Training school and Dog Grooming facility. Here at Festina Lente we offer a variety of special events and workshops for families, children and adults at different times throughout the year like our Gardening Workshops for Adults, Childrens fun Workshops & Camps on special occasions like Easter, etc, Childrens Birthday Parties and our Kids Gardening Club to name a few. Festina Lente also offers Therapeutic Coaching & EAL Facilitator training courses as well an Equestrian Training Programme & Transition Training Programme QQI courses.
