fininvest s.p.a is the holding company for one of the world's largest communication groups that includes mediaset (renamed mfe-mediforeurope in november 2021), leader in commercial television, radio, and cinema sector, and the italian leader publishing company mondadori, as well as the football club monza a.c. in sports sector (and for 31 years till april 2017 also the leading club milan a.c.). the group also holds a significant stake, as well as the doris family, in the mediolanum group, which is one of italy's most vital businesses, specialized in pensions, banking and insurance financial services. since the mid-nineties the fininvest group has concentrated mainly on its core business, communication and entertainment, investing over €21 billion in the last fifteen years. founded as a family company, fininvest later welcomed investors to its main companies (mediaset italia, mondadori and banca mediolanum are quoted on the milan stock exchange, mediaset espana on the madrid stock exchange) and today has the trust of more than 133,000 shareholders, ranging from small investors to reputable italian and global financial and industrial entities.
