Schmidt Group has over 100 years of working history in China and has been doing business in electronic assembly industry in China for over 20 years. On 7 April 2006, FTCL spun off as an independent company. The principle business of FTCL did not change and focus on the technical and sourcing businesses relating to high-end PCBA and Semiconductor industry In January 2007, First Technology China Limited was 100% acquired by Sojitz Corporation. Sojitz Corporation is one of the Japan Top 5 sogo shosha (general trading company). Sojitz Corporation has over 19,000 employees worldwide and a net sale of approximately US$48 billion in 2011.
