Fondazione Monte dei Paschi di Siena

The Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation is a non-profit organization operating totally within the sphere of private law which pursues aims of social utility through the management of its assets. These are totally devoted to this purpose and derive primarily from its majority stake in Monte dei Paschi di Siena Bank. The primary goal of its activity is the sustainable, socially just development of the community and territory of Siena, with the aim of improving the quality of life. Together with this, the Foundation is constantly committed to favoring the development of all of Tuscany and of Italy, accompanied by its growing attention to weaker, underprivileged areas of the world. The Foundation operates under a dual profile to achieve its mission and reach its goals: on one hand by enacting and developing projects of its own (also through the creation of operational companies), and on the other, following the model of grant-making foundations in the North American mold, by distributing funds to help finance projects presented by public agencies or private non-profit organizations that after a selection process are judged worthy of support.
