Food Equality Initiative

Food Equality Initiative, Inc. (FEI) works to end hunger and increase health for food insecure children and adults who are diagnosed with food allergies or Celiac Disease. We have a variety of programs, all aimed at making medically necessary diets accessible to all who need them. We started with a food pantry that supplies gluten free flours, breads, pastas and cereals to low income Celiacs. The pantry also supplies non-dairy milks, egg replacers, proteins, veggies and snacks for children and adults with food allergies. In addition to the food pantry, FEI works to fix the charitable food system so that these medically necessary foods get into the hands of those who need them. Once this is set up, disaster relief will become allergy and Celiac friendly. Our last program is the government program Women, Infant & Children (WIC). WIC was founded to help the most nutritionally vulnerable children in our population, however, children with multiple food allergies are being left behind in this program.
