Established in 1972, the Fork Lift Truck Association is the most representative body of its kind in Europe. The FLTA exists to maintain and raise standards in the materials handling industry. In turn, it works to protect the interests of everyone who works with or alongside lift trucks: boosting both safety and productivity. Our Memberships core objective is to establish and develop customer relationships that are based on excellent service, continued provision and buttoned-down costs. Operating across the UK, FLTA Members include lift truck dealers, service and maintenance companies, manufacturers and suppliers. Alongside this, we operate a Safe User Group for those responsible for overseeing safe forklift operations. Despite their differing backgrounds, they share a passion for delivering outstanding customer care. And their dedication is underpinned by the FLTA Code of Practice. When you become an FLTA Member, you must expressly agree to achieve and maintain our defined standards for safety, efficiency and integrity. Any company can apply. However, its only those which meet our criteria, abide to the nationally ratified Code of Practice and pass routine inspections, that can bear the FLTA marque. That FLTA logo demonstrates that this is a company which has put its professionalism, standards and expertise to the test and proven it. Each has been scrutinised closely to prove their competence in helping you work safely, legally and productively. And, importantly, they are always looking to build on that. To ensure youre covered against every eventuality, our Members must: · Carry significant, documented public and private liability cover · Use FLTA-approved contracts · Follow quality-controlled processes to ensure customer queries and complaints are handled fairly and promptly.
