The fragmentiX® Storage Appliances were developed with AIT cryptologists and appear to users in the LAN as SMB or NFS hard disks. In the background fragmentiX divides the files into 3 to 26 fragments. These are stored on a mixture of local or public S3-compatible storages as defined by you. The fragmentiX® user determines how many fragments are needed for recovery. With information theorical security / quantum security / it is impossible for hackers or providers to see useful data. Individual fragments of the data do NOT contain any usable information - and therefore cannot be used against your interests. fragmentiX® Storage Appliances are hardened and designed for private, business and government use.
