The Franklin Boulevard Business Association (FBBA) is focused on providing excellent maintenance and safety services; advocating for business-friendly public policies, increased economic development and enhanced public spaces; and promoting and marketing the areas culturally diverse businesses, in particular its Latino and Hmong cultures. The Association facilitates positive development and change in the Historic Monterey Trail District and connects business, community, county and city partners to work together. The Historic Monterey Trail District (HMT), a project of the Franklin Boulevard Business Association, is a bustling, vibrant District that straddles both the City and County of Sacramento and its primarily focused along Franklin Boulevard from Broadway to Turnbridge, as well as portions of Fruitridge, 47 th Avenue and 24 th Street. It includes a thriving retail district and mixed use and light industrial/manufacturing zones surrounded by residential neighborhoods. FBBA is a not-for- profit tax-exempt 501(c)6 corporation formed in 1985 by business owners and other stakeholders to make a great neighborhood even better better for business and property owners, better for the residents, and better for visitors. Today, the Association includes both a Business Improvement Area (BIA) and a Property-Based Business Improvement District (PBID). The BIA consists of approximately 640 business owners and the PBID consists of approximately 153 commercial property owners on Franklin Boulevard between Sutterville Road and 47 th Avenue.
