Fresh is Best was started by Aaron Parker in 2000. Aaron has been in the fishing business for over 20 years, and during that time, it has been well spent in a wide range of fishing : from deep sea trawling to catching orange roughy, inshore fishing, catching tuna& blue fin, long lining , to catching ling. You name it, Aaron's probably done it. Then he started paua (NZ abalone) and kina (NZ sea urchin) diving, which has always been a great passion of his. Nothing gives him more joy than putting on his wet suit and doing a long days diving in the pristine clear waters around Stewart island and Fiordland. Fresh is Best then moved into marketing our fresh seafood into some of the top New Zealand Restaurants (freshness is the key to seafood, and this means getting it to the restaurant table as fast as possible), hence the Fresh is Best name. With expansion, Aaron has started marketing the fresh paua (abalone) in to China and other Asian countries. Aaron has travelled to Asia where his products have ended up in the top hotels and restaurants there. The company's operations are based in the most southern part of New Zealand, Bluff, and the factory itself is next to the Foveaux Strait - where the best seafood in the world comes from.
