Together with Greenland Frutco Tropical AG has opened a new banana plant in Colombia. FruBaTec is located near Turbo in the port of Uraba and has a capacity of 30,000 tonnes of banana puree and 1000 tonnes of banana flour annually. Furthermore, FruBaTec reintroduces the resulting banana peels into the food cycle in the form of up to 3600 tonnes of fibre concentrate annually.
