FTK e.V. Research Institute for Telecommunications and Cooperation is the right contact for topics and applications regarding information and telecommunications technology. With a sound research background, technical expertise, and a competent team from the fields of economics, computer science, liberal arts, and journalism, FTK acts in an interdisciplinary manner and helps to initiate and realize information technology innovations, projects, and cooperation. FTK provides consulting services to partners and customers in the areas of research, information, project management, event organization and web development. The FTK was founded in 1991 as an affiliated institute of the Fernuniversität Hagen and the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. It acts as a supporting institution and coordinator of various projects for the state, the federal government, the European Union, but also for private companies. Current research focuses and topics in the area of business knowledge transfer are gamification, digitalization and networking in and of companies, long-term archiving of digital content, eCommerce, marketing and web development, eLearning and qualification and IT security.
