Geek School was founded in early 2015 by Antoine Augier and Mark Meissonnier, two passionate computer scientists with teaching experience. The concept came simply from seeing so many youngsters curious and unable to find proper mentoring until the end of highschool! Coding is a full-fledged field which will increasingly be needed in countless jobs. It is also at a cross between languages, math and the applied topic at hand. Our approach is hands on, geared towards enabling the kids to know how to use their computer environment. By mentoring them step by step through the building blocks of a project (ex: minesweeper), we explore important computer science concepts, engrain best practices and, most important, allow their creativity to shine through.
