general numerics research lab e.v.

General Numerics Research Lab (GNRL) concentrates its efforts on modern numerical simulations of physical and technological processes. Our main topics are the solid state physics (in particular, ferromagnetic phenomena and crystal defects), dynamical properties of complex fluids (e.g. ferrofluids), macroscopic simulations of electromagnetic fields of permanent magnets and electric circuits and elastic stress in complex systems. We permanently expand our research interests, working in co-operation with medical scientists, developers of new programming concepts and other future-oriented scientific and technical branches. Basing on our high competence in many areas of physics and technology, we offer the assistance in developing of modern applied solutions, starting from scientific consulting (to provide basic understanding of corresponding physical phenomena), continuing with a full-scale theoretical research on your specific problem and culminating in the development of user-friendly software packages carefully adjusted for specific needs of a particular branch of high-tech engineering - like, e.g., our well known micromagnetic package MicroMagus. In a close contact with our industrial partners, we also carry out "simulations on demand", helping the companies to optimize their technologies by employing the state-of-the-art numerical modeling of corresponding technological processes, thus allowing our partners to save valuable time and resources by gaining deep insights into the physics of these technological processes prior to building the prototype devices. Members of GNRL possess many years of experience in the fundamental and applied research, having over 150 papers in the highest-rank scientific journals (including many invited review papers) and several chapters in scientific handbooks devoted to modern areas of physics, technology and medicine. Our scientific record of also includes about 20 invited talks on major international conferences.
