GENERALI US BRANCH Established in 1935, and domiciled in the state of New York, Generali US Branch is the U.S. representative office of Assicurazioni Generali, S.p.A. The US Branch is licensed as a domestic insurance/reinsurance company in all 50 states and territories for all major business lines. After a series of profitable partnerships and a new focus on North American expansion in 2010, GUSB began underwriting CSA’s travel insurance portfolio - a $75 million/year business venture that placed Generali among the top competitors in the US travel insurance market. MULTINATIONAL ADVANTAGE After the success of the U.S. Branch’s travel insurance business, it was clear that Generali’s presence in North America was essential for the Group’s continued growth. With a global network of over 150 countries, an experienced team of underwriters and claims handling, and an office located in the heart of New York City, it was just as clear that the GUSB office provided a perfect opportunity for Generali to enter into the US Multinational Insurance market. Plans for the Generali US Branch Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) initiative were approved by EOY 2014, and by Q1 2015 the GC&C team was assembled with some of the best underwriters in the industry and an impressive portfolio was already in the works.
