Gill Consult Ltd is an electrical and mechanical (MEP) consultancy firm that utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM is a process that begins with creating an intelligent 3D design model and then use that model to facilitate coordination, simulation, and visualization. It also assists Owners (Developers) and service providers improve how buildings and infrastructure are planned, designed, built, and managed. In particular, we extensively use Autodesk’s BIM 360 Design, a cloud work-sharing and design collaboration product built for distributed, multidisciplinary teams. With BIM 360 Design, we co-author Revit models in the cloud, control worksharing activities, and coordinate deliverable exchange across teams. Revit 3D software enables us to seamless exchange design information between ourselves and with other Consultants, Owners and Contractor(s). The software assists us design MEP services with greater accuracy and in better coordination with architectural and structural components, using the coordinated and consistent information in the intelligent cloud-based Model. The software facilitates the full 3D graphic presentation and submission of the MEP designs to the project team for review and comments during Scheme & Detailed Design/Technical Design Stages. All our activities are carried out as per our quality assurance procedures documented in our ISO 9001:2015 Certification.
