The Greater Kalamazoo Association of REALTORS® is a professional organization committed to representing REALTOR® and homeowner issues to our local, state and national units of government. GKAR prides itself on being tremendously responsive to our over 800 REALTOR® and affiliated members. With a staff trained, experienced and educated in virtually every aspect of REALTOR® issues and association management, we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that the interests of our members are served and advanced through our day-to-day activities, as well as through the development and follow-through of our annual strategic plan. The Greater Kalamazoo Association of REALTORS® has an established history as being one of the strongest organizations of its kind in the nation. Our Board of Directors, made up of twelve Directors, continually reviews the mission and goals of the organization, and plans accordingly. As one of eleven REALTOR® associations in the Southwest Michigan Regional Information Center, L.L.C. (SWMRIC), we take an aggressive position in making sure that the entire region benefits from the experience of our membership, and work collaboratively to address issues pertinent to issues facing the industry. We also work tirelessly to represent REALTOR® and homeowner issues to local, state and national units of government, and are very active in public policy at the local level.
